I started Akkala because I kept seeing the same problem: Indian businesses — real estate agents, clinic owners, D2C founders, coaching centres — wanted proper digital products but couldn't afford agency prices or couldn't trust freelancers to deliver.
The gap was real: ₹3–6 lakh for a business website from an agency, or a ₹40K freelancer who might go quiet mid-project. Neither option felt right.
Then AI changed what was possible. Not "AI that replaces engineers" — AI that makes engineers dramatically faster. Code generation, test scaffolding, documentation, boilerplate — all accelerated by 10x or more. Senior engineers now spend their time on what actually requires human judgment: architecture decisions, UX, client understanding, quality review.
